Prospective students whose first language is not German and who are unable to provide proof of the German language level required for their chosen degree programme have the option of applying for the university’s in-house preparatory German language course.
Upon successful completion of the preparatory German course, students may sit the DSH language examination at the University of Wuppertal. Once they pass the DSH exam (minimum DSH 2), students may then progress to their degree programme.
For those who are not enrolled in the preparatory German course but wish to improve their German language skills whilst studying or alongside their work, the Language Teaching Institute offers a range of language courses.
