Higher semesters
If you have completed eligible coursework and/or examinations which may entitle you to be placed in a higher academic term on your chosen degree programme, please apply via uni-assist for a higher academic term. To do this, enter ‘99’ in the relevant field on the application form where the academic semester is specified.
Degree programmes with no admission restrictions: If the degree programme begins with the first academic semester in the semester for which you are applying, you will be enrolled in the first academic semester and, once enrolled, you can apply independently to the central examinations office for reclassification to a higher academic semester.
If you are applying for a higher academic semester in the summer term for a degree programme that only commences in the winter term with the first academic semester, your application will be forwarded internally to our central examinations office for assessment of your placement.
Degree programmes with restricted admission: If you apply for a degree programme with restricted admission at a higher academic semester, the central examinations office will place you in an academic semester based on your previous academic achievements. It will then be checked whether there is sufficient capacity available in the semester to which you have been placed.
